Retirement visa in Thailand
Retirement Visa (Non-O) can be issued to individuals who have reached the age of 50 years. The validity of this visa is 12 months. A visa can be extended without leaving Thailand by providing the same package of documents as with the initial application for a retirement visa.
To obtain this type of visa, you must submit the following documents to the Immigration office or to the consulate of the Kingdom of Thailand abroad:
- Passport
- Photos (4 x 6 cm) taken not earlier than 6 months
- Confirmation that the applicant has an amount of money equivalent to 800,000 Baht on his Thai bank account for three months or a document certified by the Consulate and confirming a monthly income of at least 65,000 Baht.
- Medical certificate
We remind you that a retirment visa does not apply to family members, to obtain a visa for a spouse, it will be necessary to provide a similar package of documents for each applicant.
