Rules of entering Thailand from 01 July 2020


On July 1 Notification on Conditions for International Flight Permit to Thailand has come into force.

Categories of passengers to be allowed to enter the country:

- Foreign nationals - spouses, parents or children of Thai nationals.

- Foreign nationals who have a valid work permit or are permitted to work in the Kingdom, as well as their spouses and children.

- Foreign nationals who are students in educational institutions approved by the Thai authorities and their parents or guardians.

- Foreign nationals who are in need of treatment in Thailand and their companions, excluding medical treatment of COVID-19.

- Foreign nationals who have a valid certificate of residence or

or permission to take up residence in the Kingdom.

- Carriers of necessary goods subject to immediate return after completion.

- Crew members who are required to travel into the Kingdom on a mission, and have a specified date and time for return.

- Persons holding special entry permits from the Prime Minister of Thailand or the head of responsible persons accountable for resolving state of emergency issues to enter the Kingdom.

- Individuals in diplomatic missions, consular affairs, international organizations, government representatives, foreign government agencies working in Thailand, or individual in other international agencies as permitted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including their spouse, parents, or children.

- Foreigners who are authorized to enter Thailand by a special international agreement.

- Thai nationals.

In any case, all aircraft, their passengers or other persons entering Thailand must comply with Thai immigration laws, laws relating to infectious diseases, states of emergency and other laws, as well as with the rules and conditions imposed in connection with the state of emergency and the spread of a pandemic (e.g. quarantine).
