Visa incentives extended

On 7Th February, 2017 the Ministers Cabinet had approved the extension for another 6 months of visa exemptions for tourists from 21 countries: visa fee at the embassies and consulates of Thailand waived and visa on arrival is reduced to 1,000 baht.

Thus, until the end of August 2017, tourists from the following countries: Andorra, Bhutan, Bulgaria, China, Cyprus, Ethiopia, Fiji, India, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Maldives, Malta, Mauritius, Papua New Guinea, Romania, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan can count on visa exemptions.

This decision is connected with increase in tourist flow by 12.4% after introduction of the similar offer from December, 2016 to February, 2017.
