Thailand ranks 3rd in the world in tourism revenue


According to information from the United Nations’ World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Thailand ranks third in the world in generating revenue in terms of tourism by statistics for 2016-2017.

Since early 2016, Thailand has received 49.9 billion US dollars, which is 16.9% more than in the previous period. At the same time, the Kingdom ranks 9th among the most visited countries in the world, with the number of tourists 32.6 million people, growth for the last period was 8.9%.

The leader in receiving income from tourism is the United States and Spain, which earned 205.9 billion dollars and 60.3 billion US dollars, respectively.

The top ten also includes: China, France, Italy, Great Britain, Germany, Hong Kong and Australia.
