TM 30 - updated rules for foreigners registration

Since 30 June, Thailand has introduced some relaxation of the mandatory residence registrationfor foreigners.

Recall that the rules of registration of foreigners is in force since 1979 and the decree implies the obligation of owners of premises for rent and hotel managers to register all foreigners in the immigration service within 24 hours from the date of settlement.

Amendments in force since June 30:

1. When registering an alien, the landlord is obliged to indicate the dates of arrival of the alien and the expected dates of departure.

2. If the alien leaves the rented premises (hotel) for a period of time and subsequently returns to the same premises (hotel), the landlord will not have to submit the alien registration form again.

The alien registration form (TM 30) is submitted as before to the Immigration Service at the location of the hotel / premises or on the website of the Immigration Service.
