Cooperation between Thailand and Russia in the field of digital technology

Last week was held a meeting between the General Secretary of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) of Thailand Mr. Takorn Tantasith and Mr. Alexey Volin the deputy minister of telecom and mass communications of the Russian Federation.

During the negotiations the Russian Federation proposed to Thailand the collaborative works in three areas: to lower roaming tariffs, jointly develop content for digital TV; and exchanging strategic knowledge for cyber security.

Particular attention was paid to the reduction of tariffs for roaming between 2 countries. If the this plan will be able to implement , everyone will get benefits from simple mobile consumers to corporations. Base to the international experience, lower prices for roaming at times increases mobile turnover.
