In August 2017, Thailand broke the previous record for visiting tourists in the low season. Last month, the country was visited by 3.13 million people, which is 8.66% higher than last August.

The most popular country is still among tourists from East Asia, and there is also an increase of 10% compared to last year.

According to the information of the Ministry of Tourism and Sport in August 2017, the country received 163 billion baht of income, which is 11.7 % more than in the same period of last year.
