Caravan 2013 General Post Release


Upon successful completion of the Russian stage of the expedition of Mr. Vikrom Kromadit "Caravan Asia 2013" continues their way to Asia. On August,16 the expedition left the territory of Kazakhstan and crossed the border with China. The caravan will continue their way in the China and then return through Myanmar to Thailand, from March 17, 2013 "Caravan of Asia 2013" began its long journey of 40,000 km. For almost two months, "Caravan of Asia 2013" stayed on the territory of Russia and, after more than 7000 km, visited the largest cities in Siberia and the Far East. The whole journey of the Caravan will last 7 months and will end in the second half of October in Bangkok.

Russian coordinator of the "Caravan Asia 2013" expedition was InvestEast team which was responsible for the development of the caravan program in Russia, organization of meetings and informational support to this inspiring project.

Along the way the caravan in Russia was accompanied by two representatives of InvestEast team: Konstantin Chernyaev and Katerina Okisheva.

During their stay the expedition headed by Mr. Vikrom Kromadit met with representatives of city administrations and regions of the Far East, Siberia and Trans-Baikal region.We visited the major universities: the Far Eastern Federal University, Pacific State University, Siberian State Aerospace University, Novosibirsk State University of Economics and Management, and others; held a seminar on "The Future of Russia in the eyes of the ASEAN business community" for entrepreneurs, investors and scientists in the largest cities in Siberia and the Far East. Also, Mr. Vikram Kromadit spoke at interregional youth forum TIM "Biryusa - 2013", where he spoke to Russian students about how he became one of Asia's most successful entrepreneurs and the most values must adhere to people throughout his career.

The purpose of the expedition was to acquaintance with Russia, the exchange of knowledge and experience, as well as to tell the Russians about the prospects and trends in the development of Thailand and around South-East Asian Nations ASEAN Union in the overall picture of the global economy.

During his stay in Russia, Mr. Vikram Kromadit forged many links with the Russian businessmen, government officials and scholars and invited them to visit their industrial parks in order to enable them to learn from Amata Corporation, as well as to get acquainted with business opportunities in Thailand.

On the example of their own industrial parks, he showed the idea of harmonious coexistence between industry and the environment, and the prospects for the creation of new industrial cities with the participation of partners from many countries attracted great interest in Russian audiences.

During the seminar, Mr. Vikram gave many new information to the Russian business about the structure of the economy and the investment climate in Thailand, as well as incentive programs from the Board of Investment and the Thai government for foreign investors.

During the delegation find the memorandums were signed in Russia of understanding with universities in Siberia, including the Siberian Federal University and the Siberian Aerospace University. Also was put forward a proposal to promote Russia as a tourist destination among Thai citizens.

In December-January 2013-2014 in Thailand Mr. Vikrom Kromadit will meet with Russian entrepreneurs, scientists and government officials.
